UGC NET or The National Eligibility Test (NET)

This for getting Junior Research Fellowship or to teach as a lecturer in a college or university.

National Testing Agency conducts these tests

It is a computer based test

UGC Net Qualifying Criteria

Qualifying marks in Master’s degree

General - 55% marks

Others - 50%

The paper will be divided into two papers

Paper 1 & 2.

The students would have to attempt total

150 questions ( Paper I and 2)

Time allowed 3 Hours.

Paper I - Gerneral Awareness -

total questions - 50

Total marks - 100

Time 1 hour

Paper II - Subject chosen by candidate.

Total questions - 100

Total marks - 200

Time - 2 hours.

 

Question Type - Objective Type.

No negative marking.
